        承光学会缘起于时代危机前的神学反思。四位创会人都曾在福音派神学院接受装备，教会的小组查经事工将他们聚在一起。2020年6月开始，这四位成长于社会主义中国的弟兄不约而同地看到，许多幽灵在美国和中国游荡，唯有举起基督信仰的真理之光来抵挡它们。在寻求神心意的过程中，四位弟兄也都有感于华人教会在福音文化使命上的缺失。他们一致看到，神的托付是要搭建一个持保守主义圣经价值观的基督教平台，得以守望美国、祝福中国。承光学会因此而生。

Inherit Institute was born out of a spiritual reflection among the challenges of the current time. The four founders were all equipped at Christian theological seminaries. They have been brought together through Bible study ministries at a local church. Starting in June 2020, a vision for ministry came to four brothers whom all happened to grow up in socialist China. They unanimously discerned the unreached Chinese population both in the United States and in China. These unreached people usually struggle with atheism background and cultural issues. The answer to their struggles can only be genuine faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. And they can only possibly be set free by the light of the truth in the Bible from the “whole counsel of God”. The four brothers also felt that the Chinese churches are in lack of this mission mind to influence the current culture with the Gospel. They saw a huge need to unite Chinese Christians with social conservative minds so that Biblical teachings could be practiced in every area in societies including the public sphere.  In our vision, Inherit Institute is entrusted to be a watchtower with truthful light to bless both nations.

承光学会将汇集持保守主义价值观的基督教文人学者，面向广大华人基督徒和保守主义大众，以小视频、文字专栏、讲座、论坛出版等传播方式，传承清教徒传统、加尔文神学以及英美保守主义。

By bring together Christian scholars with like minds, Inherit Institute devotes itself to the preservation of theological and intellectual treasures from Calvinism, Puritan traditions, and Anglo-American conservatism.  Inherit Institute not only brings original videos, columns, and lectures to the Chinese-speaking Christians and conservative publics but also organizes forums and seminars to promote communications between Christians and churches.
